Product Description NSRT_mk4_Spark

The NSRT_mk4_Spark is a sound level meter with a dust-protected type I digital MEMS microphone and USB and UART connectivity. This instrument is similar to the NSRT_mk4_Dev in function and performance but is designed to be easily interfaced with small microcontroller-based hosts and mounted on a custom enclosure.

The Sound Level Meter Data Logger NSRT_mk4_Spark is similar to the NSRT_mk4_Dev in function and performance, but has been redesigned to facilitate integration into the developer's enclosure, as well as interfacing with small microcontroller-based hosts. This instrument is designed to be used while connected to a host such as a Raspberry Pi, or even a microcontroller. The NSRT_mk4_Spark cannot be used in standalone mode.

Unlike the NSRT_mk4_Dev, the NSRT_mk4_Spark has an included Audio USB Interface. Through that interface, the instrument is seen as a USB microphone, and its audio signal can be captured in real-time. Unlike a typical USB microphone, the audio signal that the instrument streams is weighted and calibrated in Pa. Note that the audio stream is only available on the USB connector. It is not available on the UART port.
