The CL-500A is a compact, lightweight illuminance spectrophotometer which can be used for evaluation of light sources including LED and EL illumination.

The advanced sensor measures, illuminance, chromaticity, colour temperature and CRI (Colour Rendering Index) of virtually any light source. The on-board display, built in battery, tripod mounts and USB connectivity mean that it is suitable for use in the lab, production or out in the field.

Features

Spectral sensor provides enhanced Illuminance information: The device firmware provides CRI data alongside dominant wavelength and other features useful for making the most of modern lighting technologies. Using the software, alternative scales (CQS) can be added, providing additional utility where the quality of lighting may have raised importance for Aesthetic or safety reasons.
Measure scotopic and photopic illuminance: The spectral sensor allows for scotopic illuminance to be measured and S/P ratio measured on the onboard display.
MacAdam SDCM Level Display: CL-S10w includes a template for expressing the chromaticity variation of illumination light sources such as LEDs or organic EL sources in terms of the MacAdam SDCM (Standard Deviation of Color Matching) step. This allows display of color differences that closely match visual judgment.
Compliant with international standards: The CL-500A conforms to both DIN 5032 Part 7 Class-B and JIS C 1609-1:2006 General Class AA standards which ensure high accuracy illuminance measurements.
Expanded connectivity and integration options: The CL-500A can be connected by USB to a PC to benefit from the included data management add-in for Excel, allowing the user to operate the device, save and analyse data. More advanced needs can be met using the SDK, which in combination with the tripod mounts enables the integration into automated systems and production environments.
