The CS-150 and CS-160 are lightweight, compact and battery powered luminance and colour meters for the measurement of a wide range of luminance conditions and non-contact measurement of colour.

These instruments offer improved features, usability, accuracy and range over their predecessor the CS-100A, resulting in a greatly improved luminance measurement range up to 999,900 cd/m2 (CS-150) and 9,999,000 cd/m2 (CS-160).

Improvements to the optical system and filters results in an instrument that more closely matches the CIE 1931 colour-matching functions and the relative spectral response, with an improved match to the sensitivity of the human eye for photopic vision (CIE spectral luminous efficiency V(λ)).

Features

Designed for maximum accuracy and usability: the SLR optics and pistol grip design mean that the device is easy to accurately target and measure even small areas. A targeting reticule inside the viewfinder ensures that only the desired area is included.
Virtually flare free optical system: the influence of light from outside the measurement area is eliminated to reduce measurement errors.
Expanded versatility: Building on the success of its predecessor with an expanded measurement range and new measurement angle (CS-160). Measurement down to an area of 0.4mm is possible (using close up lens and CS-160) offering new possibilities for portable, and traceable measurement of light and displays.
Expanded connectivity options: The CS-150/160 can be used in combination with a CCD adaptor to integrate the system with your own software, jigs and automation.
