The CA-2500 Display Colour Analyser was developed for the efficient measurement, analysis, and evaluation of display technology either in development or production environments.
The CA-2500 uses XYZ filters with a relative spectral response closely matching that of the human eye and a high-resolution CCD, to provide accurate two-dimensional measurement of the luminance distribution and chromaticity distribution of display technology, projectors, backlights, etc.
The user friendly software included with the instrument, contains several time saving functions for alignment, focussing and simultaneously measuring multiple elements or displays within the FOV providing fast and efficient measurement, data analysis, and evaluation.
Features
- XYZ filters with high correlation to human spectral response: Whilst CCD cameras and digital cameras use RGB colour-separation filters, the sensor of the CA-2500 uses XYZ filters closely correlating with the CIE 1931 colour-matching functions, to ensure luminance/chromaticity measurements that correlate well with visual evaluation.
- 1-million-pixel CCD: High resolution 1-million-pixel CCD (980×980) enables accurate measurements of even small areas.
- Interchangeable lenses: Standard, wide, and telephoto lenses (plus two macro rings for telephoto lenses) enable measurements of displays and illuminated symbols of various sizes. Lenses are individually calibrated to ensure accurate measurement of luminance distribution and chromaticity distribution.
- Subject setting assistance function: The software makes it easy to align the measurement area, focus and evaluate multiple subjects with a single measurement, greatly increasing the accuracy and operational efficiency of the instrument.
